Hope Week on Alcohol and Drug Dependency

Suffolk County Legislator William R. Spencer will join representatives from Life Center, Long Island Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency, Seafield, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Centerport and family members affected by drug addiction to kick off Hope Week to help residents address the drug addiction epidemic that has plagued our community. 

The series of workshops include: “Family Education and Support,” on Wed, April 9, from 7-9pm, “Signs and Symptoms to Look Out For,” on Thursday, April 10, from 7-9p.m., and “Community and Spiritual Healing,” on Friday, April 11 from 7-9pm, all at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Centerport. They are free and open to the public.

    This is fantastic. The heroin epidemic is going to ruin a lot lives here on Long Island, and elsewhere.
    Check Newsday….they ran an article on a new drug that counteracts the results of over-dosing.
