The man who robbed this bank was an out of towner recently released from prison in Jackson, TN. He did not have a weapon but pretended he did.
He is an borderline sociopath addict that eventually used the money he stole from the bank to make his way to Chicago and commit almost the exact crimes that had put him in prison 20 years ago. Armed robbery, kidnapping, and sexual assault. He had been convicted 20 years earlier of those crimes in Kingsport, TN.
His crimes in Chicago in January 2013 were foiled when he didn’t realize the family he kidnapped had cell phones on them and the mother had texted her husband from the Cassava Bakery saying a robber was in there. Being in prison so long the robber didn’t realize that technology is now a part of life and EVERYONE has cell phones.
He is now serving 16 years in an Illinois State Prison. When and if he is released at the age of 64…he will be extradited to NY to face the bank robbery charge.

wonder if the robber got the notice that it is illegal to carry semiautomatic weapons now. he might have stayed home if he knew he was breaking the law with a 10 shot clip.
