Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who robbed a Greenlawn gas station at gunpoint on New Year’s Eve.
A woman entered the Gulf, located at 253 Broadway, at 7p.m., displayed a handgun, fired a shot at the gas attendant, which did not strike him, and stole cash. She fled northbound behind 7-Eleven. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black female, approximately 5 feet tall, skinny, large dark eyes, in her late 20s to early 30s. She was wearing all dark clothing which included a baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt and jacket, tight jeans and white sneakers.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
