Suffolk County Police today arrested a man at 2:50 a.m. for possessing items that had been stolen from parked vehicles in Huntington Station.
While on routine patrol, Second Precinct Police Officer Robert Lubanski observed a man walking on Roxanne Court with two shopping bags containing items that had just been stolen out of vehicles. Among the items stolen from the vehicles, which were parked on Folsom Avenue, Roxanne Court and Vidoni Place, were GPS devices, an iPod and clothing.
The man, Gregory Roosa, was charged with five counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on January 8.
Officers are requesting anyone who believes Roosa was in possession of their property to call the Second Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8228.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
