Huntington Public Library’s October 17 program “The Media and Child Health” brought a welcomed and enthusiastic community turnout. Our distinguished presenter was Dr. Michael Rich, Director of the Center on Media and Child Health at Children’s Hospital, Boston, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health. He shared information from the latest scientific research and his own medical practice to shed light on a timely topic that is relevant to parents, teachers, and all those who work with children. The engaging presentation inspired many questions and comments. Huntington Public Library’s new leadership intends to bring more programs by experts of this caliber to our community. As the hub of the community, the Library looks forward to providing a forum for the discussion of topics that are most relevant to the public. We are already planning our next events and welcome your feedback and suggestions.
“The Media and Child Health” program will be available on DVD through the library.
