Here’s a quick reminder that the Halesite Fire Department will be hosting its annual Fire Prevention Open House tonight from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, rain or shine. This educational, family-oriented event is held each year so residents can learn about the importance of fire escape planning and the power of prevention. There will be several live demonstrations including a kitchen fire, “JAWS of Life”, use of fire extinguishers, smokehouse, and blood pressure screenings. You can also look forward to raffles and light refreshments.
