School Bus Collision Injures Six in Huntington Station

Six people, including four children who were approximately 3 and 4 years old, were taken to Huntington hospital this  afternoon for observation after a sedan and a school bus collided on West 11th St., Huntington Station.

The bus, which was traveling north on Fourth Avenue, was carrying four children from the Developmental Disabilities Institute on Little Plains Road, Huntington.

The driver of the sedan, who was alone, was also taken to Huntington Hospital and treated for minor neck injuries.  The driver was issued six summonses including unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, failure to stop for a stop sign, failure to yield the right of way at an intersection, avoiding an intersection or traffic-control device, and failure to produce a license.
