Wanted for Leaving the Scene of an Accident In Cold Spring Harbor

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Second Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person and/or vehicle that was involved in a hit-and run crash in the parking lot of the Cold Spring Harbor Library. On Saturday, August 18, 2012, between 2:15 and 3:15 p.m., the rear bumper of a gold colored 2011 Lexus RX350 was struck by another vehicle while it was parked on the upper level of the parking lot at the Cold Spring Harbor Library. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

    this is news? who does the car belong to? seems like a lot of attention being paid to a week old parking lot fender bender. does the police know they are actively involved catching the bandit?

    maybe this site should pay more attention to the drug problem running rampid in CSH instead of reporting this trival nonsense.3 kids were arrested in the park for possession and not a word,kids crash into a tree off main st with $25,000 worth of heroin in the trunk and not a word.if this happened in huntington sta ,front page news…whats wrong with this picture..
