The Town of Huntington held a memorial ceremony today at noon in Heckscher Park. It was a moving ceremony honoring the victims of this tragic day. The names of the victims from Huntington were read by Supervisor Frank Petrone, Councilman Mark Cuthbertson, Councilwoman Susan Berland, Councilman Mark Mayoka, and Councilman Eugene Cook, all of whom were present. There was a rose ceremony and a red rose was placed in a vase in memory of each victim from Huntington. Members of Cold Spring Harbor High School’s chorus were present to sing the National Anthem and God Bless America.
