Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Huntington Station deli early this morning.
Three men wearing masks, armed with handguns, entered the Chapi Deli and Grocery, located at 139 West Hills Road, at approximately 5:40 a.m. and ordered the three employees to the floor and stole a safe. The men then fled through a rear door.
The employees were not injured.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Everybody should just ask themselves this simple question:
Are we better off now then before Frank Petrone was supervisor ?
No.
And on and on it goes
Dont worry, we’ll be in much better shape as soon as Susan Berland takes over as Supervisor.
Dont worry that will never happen. People already working to make sure- from both parties.
You better watch that PIUS doesn’t run for Supervisor, he seems to be doing whatever he wants as long as he posts a “No trespassing sign”. These people probably live in one of his illegal housing.
The county should re-open the local Police office in Huntington Station to improve Police presence. There is little active policing. If someone calls the Police, they will come but you seldom ever see Police cars cruising the streets.
Precinct supervision should be making unannounced cruises to see if the Patrol cars are out there doing their jobs.
At the press conference given by Bellone the other day at St. Hughs church, I asked both acting commissioner Webber and County Exec Bellone if they would commit to re-opening the HS Police Annex…no response.
Wow, big shocker Matt.
What gets a lot of people the 2nd precinct annex in Huntington Station was removed by county legislator Lou D’Amaro who said years ago the crime in the area was low.
If Lou D’Amaro had taken time to visit the area and check the REAL stats he would have seen the need to keep it or expand it. I guess he did not want to leave his gated community in Babylon.Being friends with both Levy and Israel Lou must have felt empowered to take the annex away.
Yeah everything that goes in H/S turns into a bodega.
Police annex was a joke. It used to be next door to a crime hotspot “Melissa’s pupuseria” and never did anything about what was happening right under their noses, like prostitutes being dropped off by the van-full on the police annex’s side of the intersection!
