Helicopter Hovers Over Huntington Station

A Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD) helicopter was circling over Huntington Station tonight around 8:15 p.m.  Observed in a flight pattern that repeatedly made wide circles over the area bounded by Broadway, Pulaski Road, Route 110, and Manor Park, the chopper used a high-intensity searchlight,  briefly focusing on many of the pedestrians in the area.

At the same time, seven SCPD patrol cars were observed slowly cruising the streets and alleyways in the neighborhood. Obviously looking for a “person of interest,” when queried, the officers would only say that they were seeking “a female.” Other police sources, however, indicated that Samantha Deutsch, 23, of Huntington Station was being held in the 2nd Precinct on two bench warrants when she escaped custody. Court records show that on February 21, 2011 a Samantha Deutsch, also 23, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Operation of a Motor Vehicle by an Unlicensed Driver.

One commuter who had just exited the arriving 6:56p.m. LIRR train from Penn Station looked at the helicopter and said” How the h**l did we get HERE?” An obvious reference to the increased crime in Huntington Station.

Now these incompetent cops can’t even keep prisoners in the station house without an escape. What a bunch of morons. People will take matters in their own hands. It happened in Howard Beach, it will happen here. You can’t control the animals with helicopters, you need to be “on the ground”, walking a beat, letting the animals know the cops are around every day and night. But these cops are paid top dolar to put up DWI roadblocks in Huntington while the animals are killing and maiming, selling crack on the corners, raping women, breaking into houses and stores and beating the old people with bats. What a disgrace, what lazy P’sOS these cops are, always looking for an “easy shift with overtime”.Lets call in the Guardian Angels, they may be unprepared and undertrained but they have what these cops don’t have…B-lls!

  • Frank stinks

The cops wouldn’t have the problems to address if we enforced code and didn’t pander to slum lords. VOTE OUT FRANK PETRONE’s cronies.

Stop Frank’s gang from controlling elections!

i agree that both parties are to blame, code enforcement is an oxymoron. the cops need more feet on the ground and not building arrest records on road blocks to artificially appear to be doing the job
