Four Arrested Following State Liquor Authority Inspection

Suffolk County Police arrest four at The Black Lantern and Bel Posto.

This past Saturday, August 13, 2011, Suffolk County Police arrested four people after a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection at two Huntington bars: The Black Lantern Lounge, 10 Wall St., and Bel Posto, 15 New St.

In response to complaints from the community, officers from the Second Precinct Crime Section, assisted by Community Oriented Police Enforcement (COPE) and patrol officers, conducted SLA inspections at the Black Lantern Lounge and at Bel Posto, which resulted in two arrests at each bar.

The following were arrested: Cindy Ann Digiuseppi, 35, of 821 Whittier Ave., New Hyde Park; Melissa Bishop, 25, of 15 W. 22nd St., Huntington Station; Anthony Basile, 28, of 4 Lawerence Dr., Brightwaters; and Giuseppe Iannucci, 28, of 150 G School St., Westbury. All four were charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree for serving alcohol to a minor and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on October 3, 2011.

Both establishments were cited by the Fire Marshal and the Town for various violations.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
