Suffolk County Police today arrested a Deer Park man for possessing more than $3,000 worth of fireworks at his home. Joseph Ladona, 71, stored the fireworks in an outdoor shed in the rear of his home located at 8 Glenda Drive. Emergency Service Section officers assisted with the removal of the fireworks, which included sparklers, firecrackers and roman candles at 3:40 p.m. First Precinct Crime Section officers charged Ladona with two counts of Unlawfully Dealing with Fireworks and Dangerous Fireworks. Ladona was issued a Field Appearance Ticket and will appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a future date.
